Additional Guidelines

In an effort to help clarify the language written in the approved and agreed upon CCR's, please see the following helpful guidelines.

Fencing guidelines

Fencing guidelines and rules for newly installed fences within Ashlyn Creek.

  • Only one fence is permitted to be along the property/boundary line.

  • If no fence exists between adjoining lots, then the first proposed new fence must be on the property line on any side that adjoins another homeowner's lot.

  • If the requesting homeowner has a similar type fence to the existing fence on the boundary line then the newly proposed fence must connect to the existing. IE. Vinyl to Vinyl, aluminum to aluminum, etc.

If a fence already exits on the boundary line and the requesting adjoining homeowner wants a different style to the existing fence then the options are as follows:

  • Change your proposed style to match the existing fence.

  • Reach an agreement with existing fence owner to have the existing boundary line fence removed and replaced with the new proposed style.

  • Install proposed fence at least 30 inches apart regardless of where the existing fence is related to the property line to allow for maintenance of this area.
